Acme 6/13/09

I went to Acme today and was able to get some good deals including the "Spend $25, get a $10 catalina for your next purchase":

3- Manwich $1.00 ($1/3 coupon)

4- Health Choice Complete Selections 4/$12 ($1/2 coupon used 2 of these)
6- Orville Reddinbacher popcorns (3packs) 3/$5 ($1/1 coupon used 2 of these and then 2 coupons that were $1/2)
= $18 oop then have the $10 gc to use next time! Like getting those items for $8 :)

My catalina didn't print so the nice man at customer service gave me an Acme gift card to use on my next visit. I plan on rolling that over on one more deal before the sale is over. I still have a few more coupons left to help lower my oop.

I also got the Lawry's marinades free as well as the McCormicks grilling seasoning packet.

I spent a total of $41.14 and have the $10 gc for next time.

CVS 6/7/09

So I went to CVS Sunday and this is the breakdown of what I got:

1- Gillette Fusion Gamer Razor $7.99 (get $4 ecb's)
1- Pampers diapers $8.99 (get $5 ecb's which CVS is no longer honoring b/c of a mistake)
1- Bayer Contour Meter $14.99 (get $5 ecb's)
2- Baltimore Sun newspapers (for the coupons) $4
= $35.97

used $4 man. coupon for razor
used man. coupon for Meter making it free
*forgot $1 man. coupon for Pampers @ home- shame on me!
used $13.99 ecb's (extra care bucks)
Paid $3.53 oop (would have been $2.53!)
Received $ 14 in extra bucks!!!

I was very pleased with this trip considering the diapers alone would have cost me $7.99 (had I remembered the coupon). I will donate the meter and the other items will go in my stockpile. I bought extra papers this week because there were some good coupons I wanted to have multiples of.

Pic to follow...

Let's start saving!

I have been reading blogs about saving money and finding good deals for about a year now and have finally decided to start my own to help keep track of my saving and spending. When it comes to the drugstores, I mostly shop at CVS because of their awesome Extra Bucks program but will also hit up Walgreens and occasionally Rite-Aid when there are decent deals to be had. Then there's Target and Wal-Mart when I get the chance. Come follow me as I keep track of my money saving shopping sprees!
