Walgreens 10/18/2009

I ran to Walgreens Sunday morning with Kiernan before watching my Ravens lose to the Vikings...

Ok- I am done crying now...sniff.

Anyway, here is the breakdown of this trip:

1 Gillette Fusion Razor- $8.99 ($4 coupon)
1 Vaseline lotion- $6.99 ($1.50 coupon)
1 Quilted Northern toilet paper 9ct.- $3.99 ($1 coupon)
= $14.67 OOP

And I received $13 in Register Rewards to use on my next purchase(s). It's like only spending $1.67. Not too shabby. I did have some RR's I could have used but long story short I would have needed some filler items so my coupons wouldn't beep and my other RR's were for the same items I was purchasing so it wouldn't print out the new ones. I think I have $33 in RR's to use now :)

Rite-Aid 10/16/09

I stopped in Rite-Aid Friday evening before going to play Bingo with my mom, grandmom, and aunt. There were a bunch of items that were free after submitting for rebates.

Here's the breakdown:

2 Sea Breeze- $4.99 each
1 Carmex 3pack- $1.99
1 Children's Simply Saline- $3.99
1 Comtrex- $3.99
1 Children's Throat Coolers- $2.99
1 Sucrets Herbal Berry- $2.99
1 Bee MD Honey cough drops- $2.49
1 BodiHeat 4ct- $2.99
I used a $5/$25 Rite-Aid coupon, $1 coupon on Comtrex, and $1 coupon for throat coolers. I then used a $10 rebate check from Rite-Aid from a previous purchase and a $10.02 gift card from Rite-Aid from another previous purchase.
My total OOP was $4.99 and I will receive a $29.67 from Rite-Aid plus this bumped me up to a $10 gift card from their Fall Savings promo and I will get a $2.49 rebate from the manufacturer of Bee MD cough drops.
Grand total is ....$42.16 back in rebates! This was a great trip!

Consignment Bargains

I stopped in the consignment store near my work last week to drop off some items and found a few deals for my 3yr old. The first was a pair of Stride Rite snow boots that have a picture of a snow plow pushing the snow that lights up when he walks in them, a pair of Carters Kids pajamas BRAND NEW w/ the tags still on them, and a vest from the Children's Place. I had a credit of $4 from previous items that had sold so I only spent $9.25!

Here's the breakdown:

Boots- $7

PJ's- $4 (yes, I am serious!!)

vest- $1.50

(1) Swiss Miss hot cocoa $1

(1) Bacon Bits $1.99 (not on sale but hubby likes in salad)
(4) Softsoaps $1/each
(4) Nestle pre-made cookie dough $2.50/each - (4) $1/1 coupons
There was a promo running that also dedcuted $9 off my total purchase for buying select products. After all that I paid $13.88 oop! My receipt said I saved a total of $45.71 today. Then again I never would pay those prices for these items.
Acme is really good for Catalina deals and promos like this one. I don't do my regular shopping there b/c their everyday prices are too expensive but since it is close to my work I will run in for these types of sales b/c they double manufaturer coupons up to $.75 which really helps lower your OOP.

This is why bargain shopping is my drug of choice- what a high! ;)

Acme 6/13/09

I went to Acme today and was able to get some good deals including the "Spend $25, get a $10 catalina for your next purchase":

3- Manwich $1.00 ($1/3 coupon)

4- Health Choice Complete Selections 4/$12 ($1/2 coupon used 2 of these)
6- Orville Reddinbacher popcorns (3packs) 3/$5 ($1/1 coupon used 2 of these and then 2 coupons that were $1/2)
= $18 oop then have the $10 gc to use next time! Like getting those items for $8 :)

My catalina didn't print so the nice man at customer service gave me an Acme gift card to use on my next visit. I plan on rolling that over on one more deal before the sale is over. I still have a few more coupons left to help lower my oop.

I also got the Lawry's marinades free as well as the McCormicks grilling seasoning packet.

I spent a total of $41.14 and have the $10 gc for next time.
